In the 2024-25 season Osmaniye harvested 99.238 tonnes of olives from 4.672.000 bearing trees — an average of 21.2 kg per tree. Of that crop 4.464 t went to the table and 94.775 t to pressing, yielding 14.809 tonnes of olive oil.

A rapidly expanding olive area
Osmaniye is one of the eastern Mediterranean provinces where olive areas are expanding rapidly. The leading districts by planted area are Bahçe, Düziçi, Hasanbeyli, Kadirli and the provincial centre.
The province stands out less for the size of its output than for its rate of growth: in the Mediterranean region the olive has lived in the shadow of vegetables and citrus, but new plantings have been spreading in recent years. Osmaniye is the concrete example of that trend.
Twelve processing plants, spread across districts
The province's olive oil businesses are spread across its districts: 3 in the centre, 3 in Düziçi, 3 in Toprakkale, 2 in Kadirli and 1 in Hasanbeyli — twelve plants in all.
That dispersed pattern shows production is not concentrated in one centre — a different model from Mersin, where 22 factories sit in a single district.
Recorded varieties in the province include Çelebi, Büyük Topak Ulak and Tavşanyüreği — part of the Mediterranean's distinctive varietal pool.
