What is Zeytin Radio?
Zeytin Radio is the round-the-clock music stream of Zeytin.NET. It plays Turkish folk music — türkü — the songs that grew out of the same Anatolian countryside as the olive groves themselves. Harvest songs, laments, wedding tunes and long-air ballads follow one another without interruption, with no advertising breaks.
The stream runs day and night. There is nothing to install and no account to create: press play and it starts. If you would rather listen while you read, the page can stay open in a background tab.
What does it play?
The library is built around regional Turkish folk repertoire: Aegean zeybek, Central Anatolian bozlak, Black Sea and south-eastern uzun hava, plus the bağlama-led recordings that carried these songs into the recording era. Between them you will hear instrumental pieces and modern arrangements that stay close to the source material.

Why folk music on an olive site?
Because they come from the same place. The olive tree and the türkü are both products of a rural Anatolian and Mediterranean life; harvest, season and labour run through the lyrics as they run through the groves.
