Copyright and Content Policy
Where the images come from, how the texts are prepared, and how to file a notice if you are a rights holder.

This page explains how content on Zeytin.NET is created and what our approach to copyright is.
Last updated: 24 August 2026
Images
Photographs on the site are taken from sources licensed for free use and are downloaded and hosted on our own server. No image is pulled directly from another site by hotlinking.
The fact that an image "can be found online" does not make it free to use. Images carrying no licence notice are treated as protected until proven otherwise and are not published here. That principle is why images are not taken from recipe or news sites.
Texts
Articles are prepared by the site's editorial work. Historical and technical statements rest on verifiable sources; figures, dates and measurements are not invented. Where material is taken directly from a source, this is stated.
In structured data (schema.org) fields, only information genuinely present on the page is published. Ratings, review counts or nutrition figures that do not appear on the page are not reported to search engines.
If you wish to quote
You may make short quotations from our articles provided you credit the source and include a link. Copying full texts, republishing them in translation, or commercial use require prior written permission.
If you are a rights holder
If the site contains an image or text you believe to be yours, please use the contact form. Please include:
1. The full address of the page concerned
2. A description of the image or text in question
3. Information showing that you hold the rights
4. What you are asking for: removal, or attribution?
Notices are reviewed within seven days at the latest. Where a claim is well founded, the content is removed or the requested attribution added. In disputed cases the content is taken down until the review is concluded.
Correction requests
Reports of factual errors may be sent through the same form. The update date changes on any article that is corrected.
