Which cookies does Zeytin.NET use? No tracking cookies — only the technical ones the site needs to work.
A cookie is a small text file saved to your browser when you visit a site. This page explains which cookies are used on Zeytin.NET and how you can control them.

The short answer
When you first open Zeytin.NET you see a cookie banner. Unless you choose "Accept all", no analytics or advertising cookie is created and no information about your visit is sent to Google or any other third party. Choosing "Only necessary" does not limit your use of the site.
The site contains no tracking JavaScript; if you consent, measurement is carried out by our own server.
Always used (strictly necessary)
- z_onay — remembers your banner choice ("only necessary" or "all"). Lifetime: 1 year.
- z_tema — remembers your light/dark appearance choice, if you made one. Lifetime: 1 year.
- y_dil — remembers your choice between the Turkish and English versions, if you made one.
- zpanel — created only for editors who sign in to the administration panel; never for readers.
Used only with your consent
Visitor statistics (Google Analytics). If you chose "Accept all", our server reports the page you viewed to Google Analytics. Two cookies are created for this:
- z_ga — a random number assigned to your browser so that returning readers can be told apart; it contains nothing that identifies you. Lifetime: 13 months.
- z_gs — a session number that expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.
What is sent to Google: the address of the page viewed, the referring site (if any), browser language, browser and device information, and your IP address for approximate location. It is used only to see how many people read which pages; it is not used to build advertising profiles or follow you across other sites. Advertising. When ad slots are enabled on the site, ad network code is likewise loaded only with this consent.
Not used
- Social media sharing or tracking cookies
- Profiling and retargeting cookies
External services
When you press play on the Zeytin Radio page, your browser connects to a separate broadcast server. That connection is an audio stream; it writes no cookie to this page. Your IP address is nonetheless technically visible to the broadcast server.
The chat room is a separate system and may use its own cookies; those are not created unless you enter it.
Changing your choice
To withdraw consent, delete the zeytin.net cookies in your browser; the banner will appear again on your next visit and you can choose "Only necessary". You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings; this does not affect reading.
