Yield Calculator

How much oil comes from a given quantity of olives — in kilograms and litres, with the cost of the fruit.

Or the other way round — how many olives for a target amount of oil:

How the calculation works

  • Yield (randıman) is the share of the fruit's weight that becomes oil. It varies with variety, ripeness, water content and extraction method — typically 15-25%, around 20% as a working figure. Early-harvested green fruit yields less; fully ripe fruit yields more.
  • Kilograms are not litres. Olive oil has a density of about 0.916 kg/L at 20 °C, so 1 kg is roughly 1.09 litres. Treating them as the same is a common and costly mistake.
  • The olive price defaults to the most recent registered exchange price for olives destined for oil. You can type your own figure instead.
  • The result is an estimate. Only the mill's own measurement gives the true figure for a given batch.
