History

Zeytin.NET entered digital publishing in the early 2000s, with the aim of bringing olive and olive oil culture to a broad readership. The domain was registered in the same period as its sister platform, Yudum.NET. One of Turkey's longest-standing thematic sector portals, it was created with the mission of building an independent knowledge archive in the early years of the internet's spread in Turkey.

The team and structure behind it

Rather than a single commercial body, what stands behind the platform is a collective devoted to olive culture:

• Independent editors and writers. The content is maintained by independent publishers and agricultural writers with close knowledge of the olive sector.
